Bridging the Empathy Gap:
Training and Coaching
Creating lasting neurodiversity-affirming and intersectionality-focused workplace cultures requires meaningful action and sustained change.

Considering we know that research shows that building and retaining a diverse workforce boosts both productivity and innovation. It makes sense that we would need to understand more about neurodivergent communication, processing and sensory experiences, within the workplace.

It would help managers and leaders answer the question 'are you unlocking the full potential of your neurodivergent employees?' if they shared a dialogue with their team members and employees around topics pertinent to their lived experiences. This is where the role of training, coaching and consultation comes in.

Likewise, employers who provide truly neurodiversity-affirming work cultures, inclusive leadership and neurodivergent-inclusive wellbeing initiatives enable their neurodivergent employees and colleagues to thrive, harness their own strengths and flourish within their identity. Supporting workplace coaching, fosters a persons potential and supports them to develop language for their experiences. A pre-requisite for developing self-advocacy skills within the workplace.
Training and Workshops
I offer a range of training programs designed for leaders and managers committed to fostering meaningful cultural transformation. These programs equip participants with the skills, knowledge, and strategies needed to create neurodiversity-affirming and inclusive workplace environments.

Drawing on my dual qualifications as a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and Sensory Integration Practitioner and experiences in Clinical Leadership and Operational Management roles, I understand the complexities and pressures faced by senior leadership.

As a neurodivergent person in work, I also understand the realities of working within systems that were not designed for neurodivergence, whilst simultaneously trying to meet the responsibilities of your job role and manage teams or run services.

Training can be tailored to align with your organisation’s goals and priorities, equipping you with practical strategies to lead by example.

Coaching
Aligning with my neurodiversity-affirming and intersectionality-focused approach to clinically supervising and coaching therapists, I provide coaching support that incorporates my specialist knowledge and skills as an experienced neurodivergent Speech and Language Therapist and Sensory Integration Practitioner.
With expertise in understanding and supporting communication, executive functioning, emotional regulation and sensory processing, I help neurodivergent individuals develop the language to articulate their experiences, navigate challenges, and advocate for their needs. By combining these therapist skills with coaching, I can support clients in exploring their identity, leveraging their strengths, and fostering meaningful personal and professional growth in ways that honour their neurodivergence in the workplace.

Coaching with managers and leaders, particularly those who are allistic (not autistic) or neurotypical focuses on building awareness, understanding, and practical skills to create a truly inclusive workplace. It provides tools to better support neurodivergent team members, foster open and effective communication, and implement meaningful changes that enable all employees to thrive. Together, we explore how to recognise and leverage the strengths of neurodivergent individuals, adapt management styles to be more inclusive, and address any barriers to creating a neurodiversity-affirming culture within your organisation and role.
Integrating my skills in this combined approach fosters space for learning, reflection and identifying commitments for moving forwards within the workplace and associated environments.
